Jill & Jack Design offers a bespoke service that involves client consultations and fittings to create a design that is truly unique and original.

 

The bespoke service begins with a complimentary consultation with designer Jill McKay. This consultation gives you the opportunity to discuss your design ideas, style and requirements and guides Jill in designing your perfect garment. Jill then develops a number of design sketches for you and sources a variety of fabrics that could be used to create your chosen design.

 

Once the design and fabrics are finalised the construction process begins. Patterns are drafted from your measurements and a series of calico toiles are made to perfect the fit of your design. After adjustments are made to the patterns, the garment is cut in final fabric. The number of fittings required varies according to the complexity of the design. Every garment is completed using hand finishing techniques and can include embellishments such as embroidery and beading. Working from her Chippendale studio, Jill is involved in the creation of your design every step of the way.
